Ever since leaving the magazine world of 9-5, I’ve been working closely with various local and international brands to create content, establish and grow their social media audience and advise them on how to build a strong, reliable online presence. I also do freelance writing for digital and print publications, brand consulting, public relations and styling in between.

On my site, I’ll be sharing my favourite beauty and lifestyle finds, tips and reviews. They’re authentic, honest and relatable thoughts.

Welcome to my happy space!

Welcome WCafe, Plett!

I’ve been visiting WCafes around the Western Cape for as long as I can remember. They’ve always been a go-to when it comes to getting a hot, fluffy cappuccino and a quick slice of smashed avo toast (if you know, you know).

When I was invited to the newly opened WCafe in Plett to check out their summer menu, I jumped at the chance. 100% Woolies quality ingredients with every meal? Yes please.

As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted by the friendly staff and usual buzz of the restaurant. It was super busy, just like any WCafe; friends were meeting up for coffee, people were catching up on emails and cyclists were popping in for a quick refuel. The atmosphere felt warm and homely. And the service was so speedy. I didn’t want to leave.

A bird’s eye view of my WCafe food choices.

After browsing the extensive menu, I opted for a bowl of cooked summer oats with fresh fruit and a nacho chicken salad. It did not disappoint. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and deliciousness and are a must if you’re looking for something light to eat. Drinks-wise, I chose a berry banana smoothie (could you get more summery?) to wash down my food and a decaf cappuccino to complement my slice(s) of cake. Side note: Do not sleep on the freshly made desserts at WCafe – I couldn’t choose between the cheese cake and chocolate, so decided to try them both. Do you blame me, though?

Cosy, warm and homely. In typical WCafe fashion.

There are so many breakfast and lunch options. From burgers to wraps, sandwiches and more – there’s something for everyone. Oh yes, and vegetarians and vegans are also spoiled for choice. WCafe has gone cashless, so be sure to bring your card. Woolies vouchers can also be used at the restaurant.

Next time you’re in Plett, pop into WCafe. You won’t regret it.

I can’t wait to go back!

I love the WCafe staff so much!
