Kate Spade Sparkle EDP

From the moment I picked up the bottle, I knew I’d love Kate Spade’s Sparkle EDP.

The first spritz always tells it all. I have a thing for peppery, powdery scents and like I suspected, this gem possessed those very notes. Blackcurrant and pink pepper make up the initial top notes of this EDP, followed by middle notes of peony and hawthorn. Once it settles throughout the day, you’ll be lusting after decadent desserts but that’s only because the base notes of Sparkle are vanilla, creme brûlée and cedar. ⁣

Delicious, right? 💙⁣

And here are the 5 fragrance tips that I swear by, in no particular order.

1. Store your scents in a cool, dark space that has no direct sunlight. I have a shelf within a cupboard dedicated to my fragrances which is free from any form of moisture, dampness and is always cold. ⁣

2. Avoid shaking your fragrance bottle as air can infuse with the perfume and shorten its lifespan.⁣

3. When properly testing out a scent, spray it on your skin (inner wrists are usually the best areas — remember, don’t rub them together as this can distort the notes). Don’t judge a scent based on a testing strip. ⁣

4. Spritzing perfume directly onto your hair could potentially make the hair dry, so instead, spray your favourite scent onto your brush before running it through your locks. ⁣

5. Never be afraid to experiment with something new. If you’re usually a fan of green, fresh notes, try something woody. If soft florals are more your thing, opt for a citrus scent. I’ve started trying out new fragrance categories and I’m loving the change.

Feel free to add to the fragrance tip list. I always love hearing your thoughts ☺️ ⁣
