Spot The Difference With Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector

I like to keep in touch with my social media community by conducting polls asking them questions about their skincare concerns. Do you want to know what the most common answer is? It’s hyperpigmentation, followed by uneven skintone and lastly, dullness.

I’m also no stranger to dark spots and marks on my face, arms and body; I blame my tanning days as a teen (we’re all guilty, admittedly) and now, at the age of 32, I’m dealing with the repercussions. Pair my hyperpigmentation with a lack of radiance and you’ve got an ideal candidate for Eucerin’s new Even Pigment Perfector Range, undoubtedly one of the brand’s most exciting launches to date. I was introduced to the range in May 2019 and couldn’t wait to put it to the test.

The Hero Ingredient

After ten years of scientific research, Eucerin developed the breakthrough active ingredient Thiamidol, a patented molecule to effectively fight dark marks at the source and prevent their re-appearance with regular use of the range. Global clinical trials showed first visible results after two weeks, with further improvement after twelve weeks. Local clinical trials on South African women also showed 100% success rate, with each woman claiming that her skintone was more even, her dark marks less pronounced and complexion more radiant than ever.

But, What Does Thiamidol Do?

We all know that the main triggers of dark spots on the skin are hormonal changes, ageing or sun exposure. From our face to our hands, hyperpigmentation can occur anywhere on the body.

Thiamidol, the patented ingredient found within the Even Pigment Perfector range tackles dark marks and uneven skintone at its source by inhibiting Tyrosinase which produces melanin (that gives skin its brown colour). Each product in the range contains Thiamidol which is fast acting, yet gentle on the skin. I was militant about my routine, using these three products daily over a six week period and can safely say, that it worked for my skin.

Here’s My Verdict

Let’s face facts: when your skin feels great, you do too. My complexion was very ‘meh’, quite lackluster and needed a heavy dose of glow. I reckon there’s been a vast improvement – namely, my even skin tone and obvious brightness. The darker spots (and general areas) on my face and neck have lightened and appears to be more radiant. Introducing… The Products:

1) Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum: This was my favourite product of the lot which has a ‘dual chamber’ technology. You just need one pump of the serum for your entire face. Apply after cleansing, before your day cream in the morning, and your night cream before bedtime. It helps with redness too; one of my other skincare issues that I’m very passionate about. 2) Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Day Cream SPF 30: I loved how lightweight and smooth the texture of this day cream was. Plus, the fact that it had a built-in SPF 30. It is incredibly nourishing though and made my skin feel soft. It absorbed quickly and worked as an excellent base for me to apply my foundation. (R449,99 for 50ml)

3) Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Night Cream: After washing my face, I applied the Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum again (remember, all you need is one pump), followed by the night cream. My skin always felt velvety soft when I’d wake up. (R449,99 for 50ml)
